Introduction to Mountain Biking
Introduction to Mountain Biking (MTB)
This course is taught to British Cycling Mountain Bike Level 2 standards, developing a rider's basic MTB skills and techniques in an environment without the distraction of other trail features.
Overview

Your child is taught by a British Cycling qualified instructor in a small group (maximum 10)

Lessons are taught in a car-free environment

The course is 5 weekly sessions of 1.25 hours (a break may be incorporated for school holidays)

Each session builds on the previous session and the course will not accept new joiners part way through

Some sessions may involve the use of ramps and other equipment

Targeted at children in school years 5 to 8 who meet the requirements below
Requirements

A mountain bike in working order, comfortable clothing, sensible footwear and a helmet - gloves are a MUST

A parent/guardian is required to stay with the child during the lesson

This course is aimed at riders aged between 9 and 11 who can ride a bike confidently

Minimum of 3 children need to attend each session for insurance purposes
